Applying a wax or finish to a floor creates a glossy, protective layer that keeps your floor attractive and free from scratches and stains.

 

However, over time, the wax or finish will wear down or become dirty and will need to be removed before a new wax or finish can be reapplied.  This is what happens when you strip the floor. 

 

Once the floor is stripped of the wax or finish thats when wax or finish is reapplied to the floor creating that glossy shiny floor once again.
